I've been doing some gesture drawings lately using this tool: [link]
For some of them you only get 30 seconds to draw the pose!
Fifteen minutes feels like an eternity after that!
And it's good, but they're not *live models* so they're all ideal and lame, so I don't like it as much. I actually really enjoy doing 30-60 second drawings because it's such a challenge and when you do it well you feel so accomplished |D
I do tend to get very inspired by my surroundings. I have a habit of painting a lot of scenery (mostly beaches) based on this area. It's not very sunny and isn't technically picturesque but I love the gloomy, grey atmosphere and can't stop trying to capture it. C:

I like blocking the shapes in first then adding a bit of scribbly texture afterwards, it's the fastest way to work for me.
